Travel: Las Vegas | Planning, List & Tips

Good Afternoon Ya'll!!
Hope Everyone is had a good weekend?

In a few weeks, I'll be going to Las Vegas ...Again. 🤣 If you follow me on Instagram then you know I've gone to Las Vegas a lot. Why you may ask? We're only a few hours from LV and it's a very inexpensive place to get a hotel for a few days. Not only that but there is so much to do! You can gamble, take in a show, walk around to various hotels and that's just to name a few.

This is how I prepare myself.

Planning

But first things first you got to plan! I can't stress this enough. So what I like to do is make a mental list in my head.

1. | Setting a date!
We look at a calendar and see what days or weekends look best.

2. | Checking the weather!
I Know this sounds weird coming in second but trust we've gone before and it rained the whole time!

3. | Picking a Hotel!
So we like to hotel hop, which means staying at a different hotel every day that we are there. We like to do this cause we get to see more of the strip and Fremont Street.
* We use Kayak to look at all the hotel prices.

4. | Food!
After picking the weekend and hotel/hotels that you might be staying at... Our next step is looking for a food place nearby. During the day we usually eat at a buffet. We go right before breakfast ends so that they're setting up for lunch, we do this cause its means fresher food being set out and we get our choice of breakfast or lunch. Then later at night (11 pm or so), we start to get hungry again that when knowing where what food places are near coming in handy.
Example: When we're staying at Mandalay Bay, Luxor or Excalibur we know there is a McDonalds across from the Mandalay Bay (We take to the Tram (or you can take an uber) the Tram is just free (check TIPS  to see a full explanation) to Mandalay then walk across the street to McD's...Unless we feel like something else there is a pizza place in New York New York hotel called NYP...

5. | What is there to do?!
There are so many things to do in Las Vegas, Free and some you have to pay for but they aren't that bad in price.

Don't forget to check out the Outlet!

Lists

Now I might be overly organized but it helps me to write things down so I know what to bring, buy, etc...

1. | Packing
I like to look up a packing list on Pinterest cause then I can see what I missed.

2. | What to Buy?!
We always have to bring snacks and drinks plus by that point, one of us ran out of toothpaste or deodorant.

3. | Places to go!
It's best to make a list of where you want to go so you plan out the days better.

4. | Where to eat!
There so many food places in LV its hard to pick sometimes. We usually go to buffets.
But check them out and making a list of the ones you really want to go will help plan your days and nights better.

Tips

1. | Don't want to walk far to get food... Check your hotel's website to see what they have or even hotel next door. There is always a fast food place or something like it not too far.

2. | One side on the LV strips use a free tram system, the other is a MonorailLearn more here. Other than that take an Uber.

3. | It's cheaper to buy your own drinks walk around with them. Or you can sit at a Slot machine put $5 dollar in a penny slot and wait till a cocktail waitress walks but most drinks are free when your gambling BUT Tip them so they come back ($1 or more should do) ... Drinking Laws

4. | Still not sure about booking a hotel room, or a food place. Or just trying to get inspiration on anything... Yelp, Google, Pinterest and cannot stress this enough YouTube is gonna be your best friend. I highly recommend watching Las Vegas Vlogs on YouTube!

Thanks for reading my blog on my planning process, my many lists, and hopefully helpful tips.

*FYI: I didn't include in flights because I live only a few hours from LV.
